Microsoft  SharePoint Portal Training Courses

With SharePoint training take care that you get the course you want.  It is easy to confuse the Full SharePoint Portal Server with the cut down add-on SharePoint team server.  Also watch out if the course is for developers or administrators.

This section is designed to give you independent advice on choosing your training course, I am not trying to sell you a seat on a particular course.  Think of it as an insider view from a trainer.

With SharePoint courses the first point to check is if they are designed for SharePoint team server or the superior SharePoint Portal Server.

My belief it that SharePoint is here to stay.  The product and concept solve so many data and document management problems.  Furthermore Microsoft are increasingly building in SharePoint capabilities into Office XP and its successors.

Watch out for SharePoint Portal Server 2003.  This has significant improvements over SharePoint 2001, and there will be new courses to cover all the extra features.

Why choose Microsoft Official Courses (MOC)?

Windows SharePoint Courses

Take care that you get the course you need.  Check whether its a course for developers or administrators.

2095 - Excellent SharePoint PORTAL course.  I do not recommend many 3 day courses but this is perfect to learn all about SharePoint Portal Server. Suitable for administrators, developers see below

2283 - Collaborative Solutions for Dashboards.  This is a course to show developers how to develop workflow, reporting and data analysis.

2381 - Working with XP.  Deals mainly with SharePoint TEAM but some Portal Topics.
